So it’s interesting how this road trip came about. My wife is a professional speaker and did a gig in downtown Milwaukee, she texts me a picture of the Harley Museum the following day and I’m thinking, hey that’s not fair, I’m the rider and I hadn’t been there…
We planned the trip over Memorial day weekend and added Thursday and Friday so we would have 5 days if we decided to venture out to other places. I booked a Hampton Inn downtown right on the water which turned out to be perfect, we could walk to all the bars and restaurants the live music. I think we were amazed to see how vibrant the downtown night life was. We enjoyed great food, awesome entertainment and great people.
I had hotels reserved for the states we would be in with the exception of the day we left, I thought we would stop just outside Chicago and find a hotel alone the way but the weather was so perfect we rode 11 hours there, this was my wife’s longest ride. 5 states and over 1700 miles, did the Harley Engine factory tour, the Harley museum tour, the Miller Lite brewery tour and of course the local dealerships, awesome trip..
Here are some pictures that I hope you enjoy, remember “Ride it like you stole it”
